Innovative textiles for wound protection

We manufacture our medical textiles from polyamide and polyester yarns. The material is antibacterial, breathable, skin-friendly and can be specifically coated. Therefore it is suitable for hygienic, highly sensitive areas in wound care. Special yarns made from thermoplastic fibres ensure two-dimensional elasticity. All medical textiles are available in pure white or in different skin tones.

Breathable textiles for orthopaedics

Acker offers a selection of textiles for orthopaedic products. They provide high resistance and stability despite their finely meshed grid structure. Coated or moulded in silicon, they are perfectly suitable as reinforcements for orthotics and numerous other applications. With our velcro, smooth thermo velours, we offer a first-class material for arm slings for support or fixing – such as in shoulder-immobilisation orthotics. Our breathable knitted fabrics with an open hole structure and a smooth finish are used, for example, as lining material in corsets.
